COMPETITION LAW

COMPETITION LAW

Performance in administrative proceedings before the Administrative Council for Economic Defense – CADE.

This performance includes the representation of our clients in ‘acts of concentration’, resulting from operations of purchase and sale of companies, shareholdings and other forms of business partnership that may affect competition, as well as in investigations of violations of the economic order, such as anti-competitive agreements and other conduct potentially harmful to free competition.

We also act in a preventive manner, with guidance regarding the obligation or not to notify mergers to CADE and about practices that may constitute an infraction of the economic order.

Our professionals’ involvement in this area dates back to 1995, when the consolidation of a modern competition defense system began in Brazil, adapted to the characteristics of a market economy, with less State intervention in the economy. The experience accumulated since then allows us to advise our clients efficiently on issues related to competition law.
